What was your first job in the non-profit housing sector?
My first job was Coordinator in a non-profit housing co-op in Scarborough. That was 1988.

What is the most rewarding thing about the work you do?
The most rewarding thing about the work I do is the ability to help people in all aspects of their lives, not just their housing.

If you could change one thing about the non-profit housing sector, what would it be?
I would change the fact that there is no National Housing Strategy. We need a reliable source of funding to keep our housing stable.

I live in a small town which is close to the city but right next door to farm country.

What quality do you admire most in other people?
I admire perseverance in people. People who never give up the good fight, no matter what happens.

If you could go to dinner with any person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would love to go to dinner with any one of the “Famous Five” women. These are the women who had the courts define women as “persons”.

What is your dream vacation spot?
Bolton’s Landing. This is our five-acre parcel of land, which we have owned since 1988. We live off the grid, surrounded by nature.
