Five session streams – the basics, our assets, our organizations, our communities, and our future – help you choose the conference sessions that are best suited to your needs. Based on your 2015 feedback, this year’s program features hot topics such as:
- end of operating agreements
- unit inspections
- supportive housing
- Landlord and Tenant Board
- governance and finance
- and so much more!
We’re excited to be hosting more than 100 expert speakers, including fellow housing providers, government representatives (Ministry of Housing, CMHC), community partners (Enbridge, Yardi, Union Gas), ODSP and OW service providers, and more. Our 2016 sessions will cater to a variety of learning styles, including peer-to-peer learning, lecture-style, hands-on learning experiences, and in-depth group discussion.
The Conference will also feature offsite sessions for those interested in seeing Toronto social housing first-hand, with bus, walking and running tours.
We are also excited to host two keynote speakers! Opening the conference is social housing veteran Richard C. Gentry, CEO and Executive Director of the San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC), who will share SDHC’s innovations to improve and strengthen their organization.
Bestselling author and happiness expert Neil Pasricha will close the Conference with an inspiring talk on how to increase your happiness, personally and professionally.
After a full day of learning and engaging with your peers, join us at our fun and celebratory networking events so you can relax and mingle with them as well.
