Access to adequate and affordable housing is a challenge around the world. Broadly, this challenge is related to two resources: land and money. In 2013, Rooftops Canada, in partnership with the Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa, conducted research in Tanzania, Zambia and South Africa, to understand how microfinance is being used to improve housing conditions.
