Preparing for the 2018 Provincial Election
Now that the federal government has delivered the National Housing Strategy, we need the Province to build off that momentum with well-designed initiatives and matching investments. As the Ontario election fast approaches, ONPHA will be ramping up our advocacy efforts in support of funding and commitments that meet the needs of the community housing sector. Join us!
As we look ahead to Election Day on June 7, here are a few ways you can get ready to spread the message that community housing is Ontario’s best investment.
Our sector is changing and modernizing, and this year’s Regional Meetings will be full of important information, including everything you need to know about the Provincial Election. Hear from ONPHA on key messages, toolkits and strategies for bringing our sector’s priorities to the forefront. Learn how to advocate effectively at the local and provincial level, collaborate with your colleagues around local priorities, and work together to put your advocacy in action.
During the meetings there will also be a hands-on opportunity for you to participate in ONPHA’s election advocacy campaign. Don’t miss it! Register here.
Our 2018 Provincial Election hashtag is #Vote4Housing. Help us advocate on behalf of the community housing sector by using the hashtag on your own social media accounts.
Be sure to follow ONPHA’s social media channels and help spread our advocacy messages by liking, commenting, retweeting and sharing posts.
